Description

A Central mobile unit transforming the the spatial layout into a multi-programmed apartment.

The design is inspired by the typical mobile storage system and the spacesaver system from Resource Furniture, both of which maximizes the limited space. A central mobile unit, not unlike the typical mobile storage system which slides along a set of frame, is installed in the middle of the apartment. This mobile unit will have integrated furniture system ( Atoll 150 living system and Lollisoft In) which will transform both sides of the mobile unit into different spatial usage. In a typical NYC apartment of this size and ambition, a highly transformable space is needed to maximize the interior usage of the apartment.
